Getting your Designated Safeguarding Officer training online
For those of you that don't know as well as doing freelance health and social care training I am also the Designated Safeguarding Officer for a CQC registered event mediciine provider called Remote Medic UK Ltd .

This means that I have to regularly update my training with a Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Officer course.

My training recently came up for a renewal and there were no classroom based courses that fitted in with my schedule so I chose to look for an online provider for the e-learning course.

There are a number of things I look for when choosing an online course provider:

Easy to navigate website.
Wide choice of courses.
CPD certified.
Easy to use platform
Rich course content
Fast certificate turnaround
Value for money.

I have referred a company called High Speed Training before when recommending to people that need to do an online Paediatric First Aid course and as I had always got excellent feedback from those that had taken the course I decided that this was the place to go.

Easy to navigate website.

The website is simple to use and easy to navigate with courses categorised in a common-sense fashion. I was able to find the course I needed in about 5 seconds!

Wide choice of courses.

High Speed Training claim on their website to have wide range of courses, I have not counted them all but it looks like they have at least 100 listed on there.

CPD certified.

The course I chose is CPD certified and it looks like most if not all of their courses are CPD certified. This is great when compiling your annual CPD log!

Easy to use platform.

I found the course very easy to access and the in-training navigation very simple and common-sense to use, and I was able to work my way through the course content with relative ease.

Rich course content.

This is both a strength and weakness I guess. I found the content too rich for me with lots and lots of information. This was due to the fact that I have done this course subject several times over the last few years. However for someone taking this course for the first time or after a long time since last doing it, the rich content would be a real bonus. Lots of information.

Fast Certificate Turnaround.

What can I say? I received a pdf certificate emailed to me a few minutes after completing the course and a hard copy in the post for the following day. Not sure how you can beat that!

Value for money.

This course cost me £60 + VAT and although this is more towards the upper end of the pricing for this type of course I found that it did provide good overall value for money and in life you do tend to get what you pay for!

Overall Rating.

I would rate High Speed Training as 9/10 overall (marked down slightly for pricing) and the course 9/10

I would love to hear from you with your experiences of online training from this provider to see if our experiences are similar so please feel free to comment.

Happy Learning
